Jeff has over twenty-four years experience in the custom home and light commercial construction business and inspections. Jeff built over 250 single family home's and 34 commercial buildings in different capacities.

Jeff testified and provided depositions for a large number of cases involving the Home Inspection and Building Inspection field and Construction Defect Cases. Jeff has been qualified in almost all aspects of construction as an expert witness involving these cases.

Jeff currently own and operate the home and building inspection company, Architectural Construction Technologies, Inc., A Florida Corporation.

Architectural Construction Technologies started operations January 10, 1994 and has since inspected over 3200 commercial, single and multi family homes for both resale and new construction.

Architectural Construction Technologies provides technical advice and consulting services in all phases of construction related fields. Construction monitoring and dispute resolution is also within the area of services provided. Clients include, Homeowners Associations, Attorneys, Corporations and Private Individuals.

August 25, 1992 to September 2, 1993:
All Claims Insurance Repairs, Hollywood Florida
Jeff was an estimator and project manager for the company after hurricane Andrew. He documented and estimated damages including required repairs to homes and commercial buildings for some of the large insurance companies in south Florida, (ITT Hartford, USFG, USAA, GEICO, CHUBB). He personally inspected, documented and photographed 623 homes in this time. He was responsible for completing over 12 million dollars in repairs.

January 21, 1978 to August 25, 1992:
General Contractor, Supervisor, and Project Manager for both single family homes and Jeff G. Hooper, CV page two commercial buildings. These buildings were located in nine different states. There were several Architects and Engineers that he performed work for including other General Contractors.

Aspen began his career in Real Estate in 1985 as a Property Manager/Condominium Association Manager in Fort Walton Beach/Destin Florida.  In 1986 he became a Florida Licensed Real Estate Broker and Florida Licensed General Contractor, specializing in renovation and restoration.

In 1992 Aspen founded HomePro Inspections, providing real property inspections and assessments on the FloridaEmeraldCoast. Combining experience in project management and cost estimating, Aspen provides complete building/system inspections, due diligence reporting and capital depreciation/reserve studies. Aspen has completed over 7,000 inspections and routinely teaches construction and building related topics.

Aspen is a Certified Environmental Hygienist.  Utilizing moisture analysis and forensic investigation he provides complete microbial/mold inspections, sampling and analysis.  Additional environmental services include:  Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, lead, water, radon, asbestos, & Indoor Air Quality testing.

BCM 1210, (3 sh) fall term: The course exposes the student to the use of building construction materials. The student learns the composition, varied applications, and methodologies of installation of the most common construction materials.

Subject : "History of Construction"
BCM 4012, (3 sh) fall term: The course traces western building technology from prehistoric man to present development of the art and science of building. Specifically, the course will be devoted to a historical review of construction and a study of current global issues. Primary focus throughout the course will be on the human elements and issues that have impacted the industry and society.

Subject : "Construction Drawing"
BCM 1252, (3 sh) fall term: The course introduces student's to construction drawings. Specifically, the students learn how to read drawings, shop drawings, and specifications. They are also introduced to the basics of using computerized design software.

Subject : "Surveying: Construction Layout"
BCM 4284, (3 sh) spring term: Advanced construction surveying, focusing on construction layout, elevations, and mastering the principles of analyzing traverses. The class involves field and classroom exercises to implement those surveying principles used in the construction industry.

Subject : "Risk Supervision"
BCM 4772, (3 sh) spring term: The course focuses on the entrepreneurial aspects of a construction business. It specifically addresses the nature of construction licensing, capital requirements, bonding, insurance, risk and contingency evaluations, financial and accounting issues specific to construction, and office administration.

Subject : "Site Development"
BCM 4752, (3 sh) spring term: The course has two main focuses. The first is to familiarize the student with commercial and residential development. They learn the activities required to perform the pre and post construction facility process. The second phase is that of those activities involving heavy civil construction. They learn how to measure dirt quantities, estimating site work, cycle times, crew build-up, and equipment selection.
